Polar's new Digital Heartrate Receiver is now standard equipment on all CompuTrainers. It is compatible with all Polar™ coded and noncoded chestbelt transmitters except their WIND™ model chestbelts. Polar Wearlink coded chest belts can be purchased as an option from RacerMate. When paired with a Polar coded chestbelt the new receiver is also excellent for use in CompuTrainer MultiRider setups where it is immune to crosstalk.
Craig Alexander (Aus) and Eneko Llanos (ESP) capped superlative 2008 race seasons (see race results below) by finishing 1-2 at the Ironman World Championship. Andy Potts (USA - 2007 70.3 World Champion) finished 7th in his very first full IM race. Virginia Berasategui (ESP), Bella Comerford (GBR), Gina Ferguson (NZ), and Dede Griesbauer (USA) took 6th, 7th, 8th and 10th places for the women. For Craig's comments about CompuTrainer, 
at the World Championship, won my age group by nearly 5 minutes, and placed 3rd female amateur overall at the age of 22.
