"A dozen members of our 400 member club have
acquired CompuTrainers during the past few years. Since then, the
average speed in the pack on our 24 mile Saturday ride has increased
over 4 mph from 21 to 25+. These guys all know it's their CompuTrainers
that have put them in the final break." |

Users, please note:
For any patch to
function properly, it must be installed into the same same folder that a
previous version of CompuTrainer 3D v3.0 resides in.
By default, the factory installation path is: C:\Program Files\CompuTrainer 3D V3
and C:\CompuTrainer 3D V3 for Windows™ Vista/Win7 users.

Changes to 3D version 3.0 Aug/05/2010 08:19
Final Release
- Fixed rider weight not being accounted for
correctly on hills.
- Fixed a report calculation error of power
to weight ratio.
- Fixed not saving racelog when you end the
race with the ESC key.
- Fixed not saving a report for rider 2 in a
two rider race.
- Fixed Polar SpinScan graph rotated CC.
- Allows you to save a performance manually
- even if you disable the Save dialog prompt.
- Fixed 2nd rider performance if you do a
ride, reset, restart. The performances now save for both riders correctly.
- If you race and reset, the correct course
is now loading as it should.
- Fixed if you race against a previous
performance and view the report, the report for both the previous
performance and the current performance would show the finish time as the
previous performance.
- Fixed error if you created a 3D course
without a finish line and tried to save Rider 1 performance.
- Fixed Load Last Course function.
- Fixed loading a flat course after riding
(a non-flat course), reset, save, back to start-line, reset to course grid,
load a new course, load 500m flat course - not the course you selected.
- Fixed average RPM taking into account
dropped (0 reading) RPM.
Known issues:
- High screen resolutions are still an issue
on this version (2560x1600 and higher) because this application is built
using DirectX 7 libraries, which doesn't know about these high resolutions.
This will be addressed in the new RacerMate One software due to be released
in Fall 2010.

Here
- If
you receive any error, or the program shuts down when in use, try setting your Windows™ display
properties to "(High Color) 16-bit".
- Vista/Win7 users MUST
install the software in the "root" C:\ drive and nott
C:\Program Files\ - the default on our setup applications.
Details found here.
- Windows™ Vista/Win7 may come with a function called Aero™, which
allows images to become transparent. This feature may cause graphic anomalies.
- CompuTrainer 3D
version 3.0 requires a fairly current
video card
running drivers compatible with
Microsoft
DirectX 7.0 or higher.
For older video card users, like older 3DFX Voodoo or nVidia Riva
TNT cards, we recommend these be replaced. There are no known
video drivers that can be made to work with any current gaming
software, least of which, ours.
- If you don't want to watch the Intro.AVI
when launching the 3D software, you can use the "spacebar" on your PC to bypass this introduction
video clip, or you can rename the file: C:\CompuTrainer 3D V3\Data\Intro.avi -to-
C:\CompuTrainer 3D V3\Data\Intro.old so it is permanently disabled.
- A few of the PC1 courses imported in to 3D v.30 may come out
to the wrong length. Open the broken PC1 course in Windows Notepad, and
make sure the second line reads "Units =" and not "Unit =" Make the
necessary modification and this should fix the problem:
