***IMPROVEMENTS TO THIS BUILD***

This is Version 2 Build 116 update to Comp3D software which adds the following fixes &  enhancements to prior builds:

  • This version is no longer is exclusive to Voodoo 3Dfx video card chipsets.  Most 16MB or higher video cards should run this software.  See our system requirements for more details.

  • Bar Graph SpinScan added: Split-screen view of the bar graph SpinScan available for both Riders - alternately.  The F3 key on the handlebar unit will bring up SpinScan.

  • Alphabetization of course files and saved performances.

  • Scenery Pack Selection added: The Painted Desert scenery is now part of this version.  A new button will appear in the Options screen to allow you to choose between the original Green Hills and the new Painted Desert scene.

v116 Known Issues:

  • This Version is Not Windows 2000/XP compatible!  Click here to upgrade to v3.0 which is Windows 2000/XP compatible

  • v116 and earlier has experienced communication problems with USB-to-Serial adapters.  So far the only adapter we found that works with v116 was made by Xircom. but no longer seems to be in production.

  • With some ATI Rage Mobility and 128 Pro video chipsets, there is a display that looks like lines of fog running horizontally across the screen.

  • Some Cyrix Processors have experienced problems running v116 or earlier.  There is a problem with the calculations done when the Computer contains a Cyrix CPU. There appear to be no fix for this we can accomplish and users of this type of PC will need to use a different PC or upgrade the CPU to either an Intel or AMD processor.

  • "Bike One Not Connected" message flashing on PC's with faster processors (i.e. 700+Mhz).  This will not effect performance, but can be annoying to watch.

  • It is recommended that you update Microsoft DirectX to the latest version available... along with the latest video drivers which can usually be downloaded for free from your video card manufacture's web site.

If you need the Desert Scenery add-on, Click Here!
(Please note: CompuTrainer 3D Software purchased after Jan 2000 came with the Painted Desert Scenery pack already included. This scenery pack will not run on Comp3D v105b or earlier)

Installation instructions: First save the 3D116update.exe file to your hard disk.  Then (double click) on the file to install this update.  Be sure you install into the same folder that your previous version of Comp3D resides in.  After instillation, check any old Comp3D Windows desktop shortcuts you may have created, and make sure they are pointing to the new <comp3ddx.exe> file in your Comp3D folder (and not the old <comp3d.exe> file).  After you have updated your Comp3D software to v116 you may install the Desert Scenery add-on above.
