Approved Sewell USB Adapter Drivers

Please Note:  The Sewell USB-to-Serial adapter was standard on CompuTrainer for the last 4 years and is recognized by the blue housing marked with the words SEWELL.  The drivers shown below may NOT be the latest drivers Sewell has approved for use for these operating systems, but they are the drivers we have found to be the most stable when used with CompuTrainer.  If you have a Vista 64-bit computer, we recommend changing to the FTDI-based adapters.

Unzip the files into a Sewell folder you create and using the driver update wizard in Device Manager, point the driver update to the location where these file reside.

Windows XP (zip file)

Windows Vista (zip file) (64-bit Vista users should NOT use the Sewell adapter)

Approved FTDI USB Adapter Drivers

Please Note:  The FTDI adapter has been standard on CompuTrainer for all Vista 64-bit sales since October 2008 and standard on all CompuTrainers since December 2008.  The FTDI USB-to-Serial adapter is recognized by the tan and blue housing with blue lights flashing when in use.  This driver is also for the newest custom FTDI-based USB-to-Stereo adapter that now ships with all CompuTrainers beginning in January 2009.

This driver executable is the same for all operating systems and will correctly detect and install the correct driver for the operating system you have.
