Dave Zabriskie Professional Cyclist "When I started cycling in the middle of 1996, I read every article and book I could find on the sport. I remember coming across an article about CompuTrainer and how someone was using it to train for the Race Across America (RAAM). Growing up in Utah with bad winter weather and school obligations that made it hard to train, I was very excited and fascinated by the idea of an indoor training simulation device that could be used to train anytime. Now that I've been regularly using the CompuTrainer, I see that its convenience is just a small part of what makes it such a valuable trainer and I'm very angry at myself for not making the necessary sacrifices in my youth to buy one. Even when the weather is beautiful I'll often opt to ride the CompuTrainer because it simulates outside training without all the interruptions of cars and stoplights and simplifies training because you do not have to search out specific roads for specific work. It is ideal for longer intervals and extremely accurate as far as power is concerned. I have also used the CompuTrainer to complete my rehabilitation from a few bad accidents I've had (none of which would have occurred if I had been on my CompuTrainer!) In 2003 I was left with screws in my left leg and an imbalance that I could not rectify. The SpinScan program pinpointed my imbalance and hleped me think through the pedaling allowing me to rebalance myself with the bike. And now, with GPS technology, you can virtually train on any course in the world right in the convenience of you own home. Riding one hour on the CompuTrainer is like doing two outdoors. I think you can do more in less time with the CompuTrainer. "
